Mayor Dyer will attend the 2013 University of Central Florida (UCF) Football Kickoff Luncheon featuring the 2013 UCF football team and coaches. Proceeds from the UCF Football Kickoff benefit scholarships for student-athletes through the Golden Knights Club.

Give Life Orlando Day Blood Drive Work-Along
City Hall Plaza

Mayor Dyer will work alongside the staff of OneBlood on the “Big Red Bus” to greet individuals and distribute paperwork to donors at the Give Life Orlando Day blood drive. This one-day blood drive is part of an annual “summer blood drive” focused on the importance of donating blood during the summer months to save lives.

Mayor Dyer will join District 5 City Commissioner Daisy W. Lynum to host an informational meeting on the Florida Citrus Bowl reconstruction project including timelines, stadium design renderings and how neighborhoods will be affected during this transitional period. The BLUEPRINT Employment Office will also be on hand to discuss job opportunities.

Mayor Dyer will attend the 87th annual Florida League of Cities Conference and introduce keynote speaker Governor Rick Scott. The conference is an opportunity State of Florida’s city, county, and government leaders to share ideas, attend educational workshops and sessions, discuss strategies for Florida’s future, and determine League policies about various topics such as City revenues, economic development, civic innovation, budget, social media, healthcare, homelessness, and ethics. The Florida League of Cities (FLC) serves the need of more than 400 cities, towns and villages and is the united voice for Florida’s municipal governments.
