Chicago Bears Fans in Florida

Football season is almost here, and if you are a Chicago Bears fan living in Florida, you definitely aren’t alone.

One of the things I love about living in Florida is how many people you meet who came here from somewhere else. And when football season starts, you quickly discover that Chicago Bears fans are everywhere.

I’m part of the Orlando Chicago Bears community, and game days are about much more than watching football. They’re a chance to get together with other Bears fans, meet people who share a connection to Chicago, and spend a few hours cheering, complaining about a play call, and hopefully celebrating a Bears win.

And Orlando isn’t the only place in Florida where Bears fans get together.

Chicago Bears Watch Groups Across Florida

There are Bears viewing groups throughout Florida, from the Panhandle all the way down to South Florida. Many hold regular watch parties during the season, giving both longtime Florida residents and newcomers a place to watch the game with other fans.

If you’ve recently moved to Florida from Chicago or elsewhere in Illinois, these groups can also be a surprisingly good way to meet people in your new hometown.

Orlando Chicago Bears

Here in Central Florida, the Orlando Chicago Bears group has been holding viewing parties since 2005.

For the 2026 season, the group is meeting at Friendly Confines in Winter Park. Bears fans get the game with full sound, Bear Down after touchdowns, plus food and drink specials.

You don’t have to be from Chicago or even Illinois to join us. You just have to be willing to Bear Down.

Football Season in Florida

Watching football in Florida is a little different from watching it in Chicago. There are no frozen walks to the stadium or scraping ice off the windshield before kickoff. You might actually arrive at the watch party wearing shorts.

But once the game starts and a room full of Bears fans starts cheering together, it feels a little bit like Chicago.

The first preseason game is Saturday, August 15, so the Bears season in Florida is officially about to begin.

I’ll be sharing some of our Orlando Bears game days this season as part of The Florida Experience because this is one of those things that has become part of my life here.
