If you follow along with us, you know that we love to eat out in Orlando because there is such a variety of amazing restaurants. Growing up in Orlando, we didn’t have this selection. Our ‘big day out’ was at Red Lobster. Almost every restaurant was a chain restaurant in Orlando, but that has changed significantly in the past few years so it is wonderful to see Orlando get the recognition it deserves.
According to WalletHub, Orlando ranked #6 best foodie city in America. Rounding out the top 5 are San Francisco at #1 (no surprise), #2 was Portland, #3 was New York, #4 was Los Angels and #5 was Miami.
Orlando tied with New York and Miami for most restaurants per capita and we tied with New York and Las Vegas for most ice cream & frozen yogurt shops per capita.
