Halloween Weekend Family Activities

• Baldwin Park:  Orlando – Baldwin Park is by far one of the best places to go trick or treating, if you want the good old fashion door to door activity.  Hundreds of kids and their parents will be in the area and you can always go to downtown Baldwin Park and grab a bite to eat after the kids get tired.  Best times to go are 6p – 8p.  Some houses will still hand out candy until around 9p, but after 9p most people shut off their lights.
• Spooky Hallow:  Sanford – Join the City of Sanford for a frightfully good time at Spooky Hallow.  Trick or Treat with downtown merchants in Historic Downtown Sanford at 1st Street & Magnolia Square.  Saturday, 10/31, from 6p – 8p for 12 and under.  Carnival games, prizes and costume contests will add to the fun.  For more information, visit www.SanfordFL.gov.
• Waterford Lakes:  Orlando – Ghouls and Goblins 12 and under are invited to attend the annual Trick-or-Treat event, Saturday, October 31 from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at participating stores. Kids entertainment throughout the center will include DJ JayMac playing Halloween themed music, The Trixie Chick Face Painting and Bounce Houses courtesy of Spacewalk Orlando from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. No toy weapons, costumes should be worn only during event hours and masks are allowed only on children 12 years old and younger. So, join us in a safe, well-lit environment and grab some goodies from Waterford Lakes Town Center!In addition, Guests 21 and over can enjoy beer (2 oz.) and food sampling along with local area business displays also from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Waterford Lakes Town Center. Tickets are $20 in advance (Photo ID Required) and $25 the day of the event.  Price of admission gets you unlimited tastings of a great selection of brands and international favorites including craft beers and seasonal brews. • Indoor Malls- Many of the area indoor malls participate in trick or treating activities for the kids.  Malls this year include, Fashion Square Mall from 4pm – 6pm.  Halloween is coming and The Florida Mall  is inviting all little ghouls, goblins and boo’tiful princesses to come have a howling good time from 4pm – 7pm on October 31st. Our Mall-O-Ween Event will be held throughout the mall at participating stores. Stop at Guest Services first to start your candy collection and find out about all of the treats happening all over the mall.  In Center Court, we will have a DJ, photo booth, face painters, stilt walkers and much more! Plus, Mad Science will be doing a presentation from 5-7pm. Kidgits members receive a special gift if they are dressed in costume or kidgits t-shirt.***Participation by individual stores may vary. Please, no masks or weapons allowed for safety purposes. Ages 12 and under only.Oviedo Mall, will have trick or treating beginning from 4p – 6p.  Seminole Towne Center – Halloween is here and Seminole Towne Center is inviting all little ghouls, goblins and boo’tiful princesses to come have a spooktacular time at the Kidgits Halloween event. Malloween – Annual Trick-or-Treat on the mall will take place Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Watch for orange pumpkin signs outside participating stores! It’s sure to be a howlin’ good time!  Shoppers may also enjoy a special Halloween photo session at Picture Yourself, located on the lower level near JCPenney. 5×7 prints will start at $7.55 plus tax or two for $9.45. Show your Kidgits card  and you will get one print free with the purchase of two!

Town Festivals

• Winter Garden Hallowfest: Features entertainment, local vendors and family activities! Enjoy a safe night of haunted happenings along downtown Plant Street in Winter Garden.  Saturday, 10/31 from 6:00p – 8:30p
• Town of Windermere Costume Parade and Hayride: Windermere Parks and Recreation will host their annual Costume Parade and Hayride on Saturday, October 31, from 9:45 am to noon.  The event takes place at Town Hall, and is open to all residents.  The children’s costume parade will begin at 10 am. Children are asked to assemble at 9:45 am.  The festivities include cookies and punch, story time or movie and a hayride.  Children can trick-or-treat with the downtown merchants following the event.
